Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection This system uses a camera and radar to identify vehicles, pedestrians, or animals in your path. If something is detected, the radar measures the distance from your front bumper to the object. The system then compares the distance to your present speed to determine if there's a collision risk. If one exists, a warning icon will appear on your front screen, and you'll hear warning tones. If you're unable to hit the brakes, the emergency braking function will gradually bring your Nissan to a stop. It can also apply hard braking if necessary to stop your vehicle almost instantly to prevent an accident or reduce the damage caused by one. Lane Departure Warning This feature activates when you're traveling at 37 mph or more and helps to keep you safely in your lane. It uses a forward-facing camera positioned above the rearview mirror and scans the road for white or yellow lane lines. Once the lines are detected, you'll receive alerts if your Nissan strays towards either lane boundary.
